Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What time should I arrive at the competition?
If you are competing in 3x3 fewest moves and/or 3x3 multi-blind then you shoud arrive at the venue at 8am on Sunday the 15th of March. Otherwise you should arrive at the venue 30 minutes before you are scheduled to compete. Please keep in mind that the schedule is subject to change on the day.
Q. Will I be able to compete in 3x3x3 Cube and other typical events?
NO! This competition involves traditionally "slow" events that are not held frequently in Perth. If you want to compete in typical events such as 3x3x3, 2x2x2, Pyraminx, etc. we suggest you sign up for the mailing list to keep updated on future Australian competitions. Of course if you like 3x3x3 fewest moves, 6x6x6, 7x7x7, Megaminx, Clock or blindfolded events then this is the competition for you and we can't wait to see you there
Q. I am using my cubes for FMC, how will I submit them in time for Multi-blind?
We will be accepting late cube submissions for competitors who are competing in the 3x3 Fewest Moves event. If you are not competing in this event then late cube submissions will not be accepted.
Q. How old do I have to be to compete?
Anyone can compete at any age! We encourage anyone considering to compete to register as it will be a great experience regardless of age.
Q. How fast do I have to be to compete?
To compete you only need to know how to solve the cube! Please check the events tab for information in time limits for each event
Q. What do I need to know before the competition day?
Before attending you should have read and understood the WCA regulations. We also recommend that you watch this helpful competitor guide and read this competition tutorial You should also know when your events are scheduled throughout the day.

Of course! Throughout the day we will need judges and runners so please see our Delegate and Organisers to ask how you can best assist.

Live results will be provided through WCA Live! It may take up to an hour between times being set and them appearing online.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
