Ven a disfrutar de tus categorías favoritas y participa en FMC y Megaminx el viernes. ¡Baja Cubing y el Museo El Trompo se unen para llevar el speedcubing al siguiente nivel en Baja California! Esta es una competencia avalada por la WCA, por lo que todos los competidores deben estar familiarizados con el reglamento.

We invite you to the classic SpeedCube Baja Open 2025!
The classic tournament is back, now with 3 full days—DON'T miss it! Come and enjoy your favorite events and join FMC and Megaminx on Friday. Baja Cubing and El Trompo Museum are teaming up to take speedcubing to the next level in Baja California! This will be an epic event that will make history, full of adrenaline, speed, and lots of fun. See you at the SpeedCube Baja Open 2025!

This is a WCA-approved competition, so all competitors must be familiar with the regulations.

Registration period: Online registration will be open from Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 12:00 AM UTC to Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 12:00 AM UTC.
Registration requirements: Create a WCA account here if you don't have one.
If this is not your first competition, associate your WCA ID to your WCA account here.
Register for this competition here.
There is a competitor limit of 70 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $250 (Mexican Peso).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 12:00 AM UTC you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 12:00 AM UTC.
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until Friday, October 17, 2025 at 12:00 AM UTC by contacting the organization team.
On the spot registrations will be accepted with a base registration fee of $300 (Mexican Peso).

2. Registro de Eventos

En la pestaña de Registro, selecciona solo los eventos en los que deseas participar y pulsa el botón de Registrarte.

La cuota de registro es de $250 MXN (Doscientnos cincuenta pesos méxicanos) El pago debe realizarse mediante tarjeta de débito o crédito. Recuerda que tu registro no estará completo hasta que se haya realizado el pago.

3. Obligaciones del Competidor

Al registrarte en la competencia, aceptas cumplir con las obligaciones de staff (como ser juez, runner o scrambler). De lo contrario, podrías ser descalificado.

Revisa las reglas 1e2 y 1f2.

4. Problemas con el Registro

Si tienes alguna duda o problema con tu registro, comunícate inmediatamente con el equipo organizador enviando un correo a bajacubingoficial@gmail.com.

5. Aprobación de Registros

Ten en cuenta que los registros se aprueban manualmente, por lo que puede que tu registro no sea aprobado de inmediato.

6. Confirmación de Competidores

Corrobora que apareces en la sección de Competidores.

7. Revisa tu Correo

Permanece atento a tu correo, incluyendo la bandeja de SPAM para cualquier actualización de la competencia. Los horarios pueden ajustarse una vez que se complete el registro.

8. Importante: Si no Puedes Asistir

Si no estás seguro de poder asistir, evita hacer el registro y permite que otro competidor tenga la oportunidad de participar.

2. Event Registration

In the Registration tab, select only the events you wish to participate in, and press Register.

The registration fee is $250 MXN (Two hundred and fifty Mexican pesos) The payment must be made using a debit or credit card. Remember that your registration will not be complete until the payment has been successfully madeution!

3. Competitor Obligations

By registering for the competition, you agree to fulfill staff obligations (such as being a judge, runner, or scrambler). Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

4. Registration Issues

If you have any questions or issues with your registration, contact the organizing team immediately by sending an email to bajacubingoficial@gmail.com.

5. Registration Approval

Please note that registrations are approved manually, so your registration may not be approved immediately.

6. Competitor Confirmation

Make sure you appear in the Competitors section.

7. Check Your Email

Stay tuned to your email, including the SPAM folder for any updates regarding the competition. Once registrations are complete, schedules may be adjusted.

8. Important: If You're Not Sure You Can Attend

If you're not sure if you can attend the competition, avoid registration and allow another competitor to register.

Tanto si llegas por medio del Aeropuerto Internacional de Tijuana, como por la Central de Autobuses de Tijuana; nuestra recomendación es que utilices algún taxi por aplicación ya que el transporte público para llegar al evento es escaso.	It does not matter if you arrive to the Airport or to the Bus Terminal, our recommendation is that you use Uber or Didi app to get a taxi that costs approximately $10 dlls, in case you arrive from the Border, the cost will be a little higher.

INFORMACIÓN DE LA LISTA DE ESPERA:	WAITING LIST INFORMATION:
Si se ha alcanzado el límite de 70 competidores, aún puedes registrarte y pagar la cuota de la competencia para asegurar un lugar en la lista de espera.	If the limit of 70 competitors has been reached, you can still register and pay the competition fee to secure a place on the waiting list.
Hasta el 10 de Octubre, cualquier competidor puede cancelar su registro y permitir que la primera persona en la lista de espera ocupe su lugar.	Until October 10th, any competitor can cancel their registration and let the first person on the waiting list to take their place.
Después del 10 de Octubre, se les eliminará de la lista de espera y todos lo competidores en ella recibirán un rembolso del 100%.	After Octobner 10th, they will be removed from the waiting list and all competitors on the waiting list will receive a 100% refund.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
