Velkommen til Stavanger Open 2024
Velkommen til Stavanger Open på Talgje Grendahus i Stavanger - Norge. Konkurransen vil foregå i gymsalen der. Vi vil ha tilgang på gymsal og en romslig vestibyle. Publikum er hjertelig velkommen til å se på konkurransen.
Alle som kan løse Rubiks kube er hjertelig velkomne til å delta i konkurransen!

Welcome to Stavanger Open 2024
Welcome to Stavanger Open at Talgje Grendahus in Stavanger - Norway. The competition will take place in the gymnasium there. We will have access to the gymnasium and a spacious lobby. Spectators are warmly welcome to watch the competition.
Everyone who knows how to solve the cube are most welcome to compete!

Rules and Regulations
We are using the official rules and regulations from WCA. If you are new to cubing competitions, please have a look through the rules here.

Med bil:
Talgje grendahus ligger ca 30 minutters kjøring fra Stavanger sentrum. Tunnelene er gratis å kjøre gjennom. Det er 15 minutter å kjøre fra Mortavika ferjekai til lokalet. Det er omtrent 4 timer til Bergen sentrum og rundt 3 timer og 30 minutter til Kristiansand.

Med buss:
Det er ikke mulig å ta buss helt til Talgje. Det er mulig å ta buss fra Stavanger til Rennesøy Brannstasjon og så bli hentet der. Gi beskjed til arrangør innen fredag hvis du planlegger å ta buss, så skal vi organisere henting.

Med båt:
Det går hurtigbåt fra Stavanger (Fiskepiren) klokken 10:30 lørdag (sjekk ruteinformasjon på Kolumbus.no). Anbefaler å kjøpe billett til båten i god tid slik at du er garantert plass. Det går båt tilbake til Stavanger klokken 18:25. Det tar rundt 20 minutter å gå fra hurtigbåtkaien på Talgje til grendahuset. Hvis dere har behov for å bli hentet på kaien, gi beskjed innen fredag.

By car:
Talgje Grendahus is about a 30-minute drive from Stavanger city center. The tunnels are free to drive through. It’s a 15-minute drive from Mortavika ferry terminal to the venue. It is approximately 4 hours to Bergen city center and around 3 hours and 30 minutes to Kristiansand.

By bus:
It’s not possible to take a bus all the way to Talgje. However, you can take a bus from Stavanger to Rennesøy Fire Station and be picked up from there. Please notify the organizer by Friday if you plan to take the bus, and we will arrange for pickup.

By boat:
There is a speedboat departing from Stavanger (Fiskepiren) at 10:30 AM on Saturday (check schedule information at Kolumbus.no). We recommend buying the boat ticket well in advance to secure your spot. There is a return boat to Stavanger at 6:25 PM. It takes around 20 minutes to walk from the speedboat dock on Talgje to the community center. If you need to be picked up at the dock, please notify us by Friday.

There will be no food sales, but we are planning a group order of pizza and soda for the break, which will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Det blir premier til vinnerne i alle eventer, gavekort på 50kr levert av Nordiccube, samt et gavekort på 50 kr til beste nykommer i 3x3.

Det vil også deles ut medaljer til de tre beste i alle konkurransene.

There will be prizes for the winners in all events, gift cards worth 50 NOK provided by Nordiccube, as well as a 50 NOK gift card for the best newcomer in 3x3.

Medals will also be awarded to the top three in all competitions.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
