COVID-19

WCAs Competition Safety Policy agerar grund för vårat förebyggande arbete. Följande restriktioner kommer att gälla under tävlingen:

• Självklart stannar alla med sjukdomssymptom hemma.
• Avståndet mellan deltagare ska hållas till minst en meter och vi ska sprida ut oss så mycket vi kan.
• Handdesinfektion kommer finnas tillgängligt under hela tävlingen. Vi tvättar och spritar händerna ofta, samt desinficerar pussel före varje tävlingsomgång.
• Vi lånar inte pussel av varandra.
• Alla deltagare ska ha med egen penna. Ta gärna med flera, och låna inte av varandra.
• Du som tävlande har om du vill rätt att exempelvis ha med eget cube cover, och att desinficera tävlingsytan före dina försök.
• WCA rekommenderar att deltagare har på sig munskydd i tävlingslokalen.
• Vissa ändringar angående domare och runners kommer implementeras, för att minimera kontaktpunkter. Detta inkluderar: *Alla tävlingsomgångar kommer använda fasta platser, med en tävlingsstation per bord.
  • Domaren sitter vid kortsidan av bordet, minst en meter från den tävlande.
  • Endast den tävlande ska röra vid timern. Detta innebär att det är den tävlande som startar och nollställer timern före sitt försök, notera dock att det fortfarande är domarens ansvar att se till att detta blir gjort.
  • Efter försöket lossar den tävlande på timern, och vänder den mot domaren så att tiden kan antecknas.
  • Varken domare eller runners ska komma i kontakt med pusslen. Detta innebär att det är den tävlande som lägger pusslet i sitt cube cover efter försöket. Domaren bör inte röra pusslet om så inte krävs för att avgöra om det är löst.
  • Domaren räcker upp handen för att tillkalla runner, istället för att hålla upp cube cover.
  • Denna process demonstreras i den här videon (aktivera undertexter).

COVID-19

WCA's Competition Safety Policy acts as the foundation for our preventative work. The following restrictions will be in effect:

• Everyone with signs of illness will of course stay at home.
• The distance between competitors should at all times be at least one meter and we will spread out as much as possible.
• Hand sanitizer will be available during the entire competition. We will wash and sanitize our hands often, aswell as disinfect puzzles before each round.
• We will not borrow puzzles from each other.
• All competitors must bring their own pen. Feel free to bring several, and don't borrow from each other.
• If you as a competitor wish, you have the right to for example bring your own cube cover, and to disinfect the competing surface before your attempts.
• The WCA recommends that you wear a face mask in the competition venue.
• Some changes regarding judges and runners will be implemented, to minimize contact points. This includes:
  • All rounds will be using fixed seating, with one competing station per table.
  • The judge will be seated at the short side of the table, at least 1 meter away from the competitor.
  • The competitor should be the only person touching the timer during a round. This means that the competitor will be the one starting and resetting the timer. It should be noted that it is still the judge’s responsibility that this is carried out.
  • After the attempt, the competitor removes the timer from the stackmat, and turns it so that the judge can read the time without approaching the competitor.
  • Neither judges nor runners should come in contact with the puzzles. This means that the competitor will be the one putting the cube into the cover after the attempt, and the judge should not touch the puzzle unless necessary to determine whether or not the puzzle is solved.
  • The judge should raise their hand to alert a runner, instead of raising the cube cover.
  • This process is demonstrated in this video (activate subtitles).

För att ta del av tävlingsrabatten är det bara att vara registrerad i SveKubs medlemsregister, sedan anmäler du dig som vanligt. Vi verifierar sedan vilka av de anmälda som är medlemmar och inte. Du betalar till att börja med fullt pris, men vi återbetalar 25% i samband med att anmälan granskas (godkänns eller sätts på väntelistan). I framtiden hoppas vi kunna ha ett något smidigare system, men anmälningssystemet kan i dagsläget inte hantera olika anmälningsavgifter för olika personer.

SveKub

This competition is organized together with Svenska Kubförbundet - SveKub.

As a member of SveKub, you always have a 25% discount on Swedish competitions, up to 10% discount on train travel with SJ and discounts on hotels at Scandic and Nordic Choice Hotels. The membership is free, but is only available for Swedish citizens.

To recieve the competition discount, you simply need to be registered as a SveKub member. After that, you register as normal and we will verify which competitors are members and which are not. You will pay the full price to begin with, but we will refund 25% when reviewing the registration (approving it or moving it to the waiting list). In the future, we hope to have a slightly more convenient system, but the current registration system can not handle different registration fees for different people.

VIktig information

Alla tävande ska ha läst WCA:s Regler. Deltagare förväntas känna till WCA:s reglemente innan man deltar på en officiell tävling. Reglerna finns även översatta till svenska, men tänk på att det är den engleska originalversionen som gäller om det skulle finnas några skillnader.
Vi kommer ha en deltagarintroduktion både på lördagen och söndagen för nya deltagare där vi går igenom hur det går till när man tävlar på en officiell WCA-tävling. Vill man redan nu få bättre koll på hur tävlingsproceduren går till, kolla då gärna denna video som visar detta på ett bra sätt. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Du måste vara anmäld till tävlingen online för att få tävla! Du kan anmäla dig här.

Alla nya tävlande bör ha med ett giltigt ID. För att få tävla som ny deltagare måste du kunna identifiera dig själv och visa att den information du gav oss när du registrerade dig för den här tävlingen är korrekt. Ett pass är ett bra exempel på ett giltigt ID eftersom det visar all nödvändig information, såsom namn, nationalitet och födelsedatum.

Du måste vara redo att tävla när din grupp startar. Du behöver vara på plats i lokalen under de grenar där du planerar att delta. Du behöver dock vara på plats i lokalen senast 20 minuter innan din första gren ska börja, så du hinner fullfölja registreringen. Vi rekommenderar dock alltid att ni är på plats i lokalen minst 20 minuter innan er nästa gren, då schemat kan variera något jämfört med vad som först var planerat.

Fotografering med blixt är förbjudet i hela lokalen! Blixtar är störande för tävlande. Fotografering utan blixt är tillåtet.

Publik måste befinna sig 1,5 meter ifrån tävlingsstationerna och tävlingsområdet. Annars finns risken att man stör andra tävlande eller tävlingsproceduren.

Man får inte prata om blandningarna innan man tävlat färdigt i pågående gren. Annars finns risken att man blir diskvalificerad.

Håll koll på er e-mail Några dagar innan tävlingen kommer ni få ett deltagarmail där vi kommer ta upp diverse viktig information för deltagare att känna till. I detta mail kommer också eventuella ändringar sedan tävlingen annonserades tas upp. Om det finns annan information som vi snabbt måste kommunicera till deltagare så kommer detta också ske via e-mail, därför är det viktigt att ni håller koll på er e-mail regelbundet.

Important information

All competitors must have read the WCA regulations. Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. We will have a competitor tutorial for new comptetitors at both Saturday and Saturday, where we will show how to compete in an official WCA competition. If you want to get a better idea of how the competition works already, please check this video which will show you this. Reading through this guide, is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

You must be registered for this competetiton online in order to compete! You can register here.

All new competitors should bring a valid ID. To be allowed to compete as a new competitor, you need to be able to identify yourself and the information you provided us when you registred for this competition. A passport is a good example of a valid ID since it shows all necessary information, such as name, nationality and date of birth.

You must be ready to compete when your group starts. You need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 20 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration. It is however always recommended to be at the venue at least 20 minutes before your next event, since the schedule may differ slightly from what was previously announced.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Pictures without the use of flash are allowed.

Spectators should remain 1,5 meters away from the solving stations and the competition area. Otherwise, you might distract other competitors or disrupt the competition flow.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done. Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

Check your e-mail A few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced. If there is any other urgent information which we need to communicate to competitors, then it will be done through e-mail so therefore it is important that you check your e-mail regularly.

Nya tävlande

Om det här är din första WCA-tävling, välkommen! Det är viktigt att du läser igenom alla flikar här på sidan, eftersom det finns mycket viktig information där.

Om du aldrig tävlat förut bör du ha med ett giltigt ID, till exempel ett pass eller körkort. Detta är en rekommenderad policy för att se till att er personliga information blir korrekt. Om du inte har ett ID-kort kan en förälder eller vårdnadshavare bekräfta informationen.

Det är också viktigt att du läser igenom WCA-reglerna så du får en bättre förståelse för vilka olika tidsstraff du kan få på lösningarna, och hur du undviker dem. Du är såklart mycket välkommen att ställa frågor om saker som dyker upp under tävlingen!

Kom ihåg att du bara behöver vara i lokalen när du har någon gren att tävla i, men eftersom schemat kan ändras något under tävlingen rekommenderar vi att du är där minst 15 minuter innan din första gren.

Under hela tävlingen kommer du kunna se live-resultat från WCA live, där kan du se vilka resultat du fick, och ifall du gick vidare till nästa runda.

New competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! Make sure to read through all tabs above as there is a lot of important information there.

If you've never competed before, you should to bring a valid ID, for example a passport or driver's license. This is a recommended policy to make sure your personal information is correct. If you do not have an ID, a parent or guardian can confirm the information.

This video demonstrates how solving in a competition works. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know. Do note however, that the competing process looks a little different this time, read more about this under the "COVID-19" tab. It is also important that you read through the WCA Regulations so that you are aware of different penalties and how to avoid them. You are of course more than welcome to ask us questions during the competition!

Remember that you only need to be at the venue when you have an event to compete in, but since the schedule might change slightly throughout the competition, we recommend showing up at least 15 minutes before your first event.

Throughout the competition, you will be able to see live results from WCA live, and there you can see what results you got and whether or not you proceeded to the next round.

Resa

Adress till tävlingslokalen: Kungstensgatan 6, 114 25 Stockholm

Bil: Viktor Rydberg Jarlaplans gymnasium ligger på Jarlaplan i centrala Stockholm. Att tänka på vid bilfärd är att det kan vara svårt att hitta parkering så det kan krävas att leta parkering i området, lite längre bort från lokalen. Obs! På vissa ställen är det avgift.

Kollektivtrafik: Tävlingsschemat har anpassats till kollektivtrafiken från åtminstone Göteborgs- och Malmöregionen. Det enklaste alternativet är att boka din biljett på sj.se direkt till lokalen, skriv då in "Stockholms Central" som din destination. Från Stockholms Central tar du röda tunnelbane-linjen till Tekniska högskolan för att sedan gå 10 minuter till lokalen. För att få resa med lokaltrafiken behöver du en giltig biljett som du antingen kan betala vid tunnelbanan eller ladda ned sl-appen. Kom ihåg att medlemmar i SveKub reser med upp till 10% rabatt hos SJ, mer information finns på Sveroks hemsida.

Det kan också vara värt att kolla flixbus.se och bus4you.se för billiga bussbiljetter till samma station.

Travel

Address to the competition venue: Kungstensgatan 6, 114 25 Stockholm

Car: Viktor Rydberg Jarlaplan's gymnasium is located at Jarlaplan in central Stockholm. To keep in mind when driving is that it can be difficult to find a parking lot so it may be necessary to look for parking in the area, a little further away from the premises. Note! In some places there is a fee.

Public transport: The competition schedule has been adapted to public transport from at least the Gothenburg and Malmö regions. The easiest option is to book your ticket on sj.se directly to the venue, then enter "Stockholms Central" as your destination. From Stockholm Central, take the red metro line to the University of Technology and then walk 10 minutes to the venue. To travel by local transport, you need a valid ticket that you can either pay at the metro or download the sl-app. Remember that members of SveKub travel with up to 10% discount at SJ, more information is available on Sverok's website.

It may also be worth checking out flixbus.se and bus4you.se for cheap bus tickets to the same station.

Boende

Det finns ett flertal olika hotell och vandrarhem i centrala Stockholm. Det absolut närmaste är Hotel Birger Jarl Stockholm och ligger 200 meter från lokalen. Det enklaste är att söka på internet det närmsta från lokalen och därefter välja efter pris.

Mat: Det kommer finnas ett lite mindre Cafe öppet i lokalen där det kommer finnas mackor, fika, kaffe, te, julbakelser och mycket mer. Med tanke på att det är ett fullspäckat schema är detta mycket lägligt. Utöver detta finns det mängder av restauranger och matbutiker nära lokalen. Det finns bland annat en lite större Hemköp 200 meter från lokalen samt en Ica ca 350 meter bort. När det gäller restauranger finns mängder av bra och i slutändan är det i stort sett vad man föredrar att äta.

Accommodation

There are several different hotels and hostels in central Stockholm. The absolute closest is Hotel Birger Jarl Stockholm and is located 200 meters from the venue. The easiest way is to search the internet for the closest thing from the room and then choose by price.

Food: There will be a slightly smaller Cafe open in the room where there will be sandwiches, coffee, coffee, tea, Christmas pastries and much more. Given that it is a packed schedule, this is very convenient. In addition to this, there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near the venue. There is, among other things, a slightly larger Hemköp 200 meters from the premises and an Ica about 350 meters away. When it comes to restaurants, there are plenty of good ones and in the end, that's pretty much what you prefer to eat.
