Lunch Time Exhibition
During the lunch hour, we want to show off your super high order cube skills, so bring 13x13 or larger cubes, crazy looking cubes, or special cubes maybe nobody else has, and show off how fast you can solve them on the big screen! (technology gods approval pending)
Mirror Blind Event
Bring a mirror cube and a blindfold (we might have extras for competitors that don't have a blindfold).
Competitors will submit their cubes like a 3x3x3 event, and be called up in heats. Once the competitor is called, they and the judge will find an empty table, put the blindfold on, and rest their hands on the timer. The cube will be placed in front of them, and once they are ready, they may pick up the cube and start solving. NO PEEKING! Once the competitor believes they are finished solving or are giving up, the put their hands back on the timer to stop it. They may then lift the blindfold and see the results of their efforts. If they go above 10 mins, they will be stopped and it will be a DNF. (so 10 min cut off)
Competitors can have a 2nd attempt if they have a success to try to improve their time. Scrambles will be per heat (just like 3x3).
Awards will be provided for the top 3 competitors that succeed in solving their cube.
Secret Events
These will mostly be around 3x3x3, so please make sure you have a 3x3x3 cube if you wish to participate. Signup will be at the door on arrival, or you can indicate in the comment at registration time if you wish to participate in all the secret events.
They may include such events as: Factory Solves, Team Factory, Team Blind, Parent/Partner solves, Magic, Snake, Scramble Match, Headstand Solves, Relay, or even more crazy!
These events promise to be fun to watch and even more fun to participate in.
This competition is sponsored by Imagine+ and The Cubicle
Imagine+ will be on-site with inventory to sell from 9am - 1pm, and has graciously provided materials for the fun events!
The cubicle have generously provided event prizes for this competition. The top 3 finishers in each event will receive a gift card code that can be used toward purchases on The Cubicle's online store.
