Welcome to the third WCA competition in Kenya!
This competition is specifically created for those who are aged 13 and under. Those who are aged 14 and above can participate... but will not qualify to get a prize on the podium.

Participants should bring some form of identification in order to confirm that they are aged 13 and below. A passport, or a copy of your birth cirtificate is a good example since it shows name, age, nationality and so on.

You only need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 15 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration.

The base registration fee for this competition is KSh500 (Kenyan Shilling).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

We want to let you know this event is for those who are aged 13 and below, and is perfectly fine for cubers of any experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: This event has been specifically made for those who are aged 13 and under, to help them show their skills to everyone else. Those who are 14 and above can register, but it will be limited to very few slots. Volunteers are welcome to help around.

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete.

There are numerous public service vehicles travelling to Spring valley from various locations within and outside Nairobi. There are also multiple taxi options available.

Those travelling to the venue using private vehicles will be allowed to use the venue's parking.

Light snacks will be provided for participants and spectators. Please do bring a packed lunch and a bottle of water for yourself.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
