The base registration fee for this competition is $25 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 90% of your registration fee.

No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Any spectator can attend for free.
If you paid but do not see your name on the registration list, please wait 48 hours prior to emailing the organizational team. Despite the use of the Stripe payment system, organizers still have to manually move competitors to the approved competitor list following payment.

Registration Process
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.
How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $25. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
Note: Please do not bring more than 1 guest to this competition, as space is limited.
The competitor limit for this competition is 40. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 40 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.
Any requested changes to registration before Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 8:00 PM EDT will be honored. Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.
How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."
Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 8:00 PM EDT are eligible for a refund for 90% of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.
Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 8:00 PM EDT, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.
FAQ
Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.
Is there a competitor limit?
Yes, it is 40 competitors. You just need to make sure to register before the registration deadline.
How do I register?
Click on the registration tab on the competition website and follow the instructions.
Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.
Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge. However we will have a limit of how many spectators/guests may be in the room at one time.
This is my first competition. What do I need to know?
There is a lot of good information available in the "Competitor Information - MUST READ" tab.
I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule.
When do I need to show up?
Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.
Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live. These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website.

For First-Time Competitors
All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a fun overview of the rules.

Finally, please be familiar with how to judge at a cubing competition. All competitors will be required to judge in at least one of the events they are competing in. This video gives a basic overview of how to judge, and does include more up-to-date information.
For All Competitors
Before you arrive, you will recieve an email with competition information including your groups for the competition. This could be displayed in one of two ways, either as a pdf or as a website link to competitiongroups.com.
If you recieve a pdf, it will contain multiple competitor cards. Find the card with your name on it, and it will contain personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event, along with judging/scrambling assignments. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look similar to the following:
If you recieve a website link to competitiongroups.com, click on the link (or head to the Groups tab on this website) and login to your WCA account. Then, find the competition and scroll to your name. Your list of groups will look similar to the following:
If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

Entrance
Please enter the venue through the Community Center's front door, adjacent to W Jefferson Street. the gymnasium is located through the double doors on the right when you walk in.
Parking:
There are multiple parking lots by Main Street. If you plan to park in the parking lot by the park/playground, please keep in mind that the lot is on the other side of the train tracks to the venue, so there might be a chance that a train could come through when you arrive, blocking the way to the venue. So please plan accordingly. There is also extra parking availible along Main street.
Hotels:
There is no designated hotel for this competition. However, there are many hotels in La Grange that are located close to the venue. All are on the opposite side of the train tracks, so please plan accordingly. Hotels include: Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, Super 8, Quality Inn, etc.
Food
No Food or Drink will be allowed inside the gym. If you bring food inside please eat/keep it in the community room adjacent to the gym. There are many options for fast food and restaurants around La Grange. Including: McDonalds, Arby's, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, KFC, etc.
This competition will also hold unofficial events. The results will be recorded through Cubing Contests, and will then be added to the rankings.

Competitors who podium in Magic will receive a special prize.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
