Group assignments are available here: Utah Megacomp 2023 Groups.
The competitor area will be divided up into three stages to keep everything orderly: Orange, Blue, and Green. In your competing assignment, the letter refers to which stage you will be on and the number refers to which group number you will be in. We will call up group 1 on all three stages at the same time, then group 2 on all stages, etc.
In the "Help" column you will see your assignments to help with other groups. J is for judge, R is for run, and S is for scramble. The number again refers to which group you'll be helping with. For judging, running, and scrambling, you won't be assigned to a particular stage, just find an open spot. We'll teach you how to do each of those during the competitor tutorial at 9 AM.
Your nametag will also list all of the groups you are competing in and helping with for easy reference.
All 2023 Utah competitions are part of the Utah Cubing Cup. Competitors can earn points by competing and will win prizes at the end of the year.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
