Wir freuen uns sehr euch Vienna Open 2022 als ein offizielles WCA Turnier ankündigen zu können.
Die Speedcubing Competition wird organisiert von Viktor Kalmar, Pranjal Khan, Florian Truckenthanner, Alexander Helbok, Sanio Kasumovic und delegiert von Niko Ronkainen. Diesmal findet das Turnier im großen Saal der Akkonplatz Pfarre statt. Die Resultate dieser Competition werden zu den offiziellen WCA World Rankings hinzugefügt.
Jeder ist bei diesem Turnier gerne willkommen, unabhängig von der Erfahrung, Alter oder sonstigen Fähigkeiten. Manche Events haben ein spezifisches Zeitlimit, damit wir sicherstellen können den ganzen Tag über im Zeitplan zu bleiben. Es dürfen Puzzles jeder Marke verwendet werden solange sie den WCA Richtlinien entsprechen. Es sind alle Herzlich willkommen!
Falls Ihr Gäste dabei habt, würden wir euch bei der Anmeldung im Kommentarfeld um die Namen eure Gäste bitten.

We are happy to announce the Vienna Open 2022 as an official WCA Competition.
The speedcubing competition is organised by Viktor Kalmar, Pranjal Khan, Florian Truckenthanner, Alexander Helbok, Sanio Kasumovic and delegated by Niko Ronkainen. Results of the competition will be added to the official WCA World Rankings.
The competition is open to all competitors regardless of experience and skill, but certain event-based time limits will be in place to make sure we can stay on schedule and get through the day on time. No prior experience in WCA competitions is necessary, but competitors must be familiar with the WCA Regulations. Any puzzle brand may be used during the competition, as long as it complies with the WCA regulations.
If you bring any guests, please write their names in the comments of your registration.

Der Eintrittspreis beträgt € 25,- pro Person und dieser ist nach der Ankunft am „Registration Desk“ vor Antritt des ersten Events im Turnier zu bezahlen.
Achtung, eure WCA Registrierung bzw. Vorregistrierung ist erst nach Erhalt einer positiven Rückmeldung vom Organisationsteam vollständig. Ohne diese könnt ihr leider nicht bei diesem Turnier teilnehmen.Sollte das Turnier bereits voll sein, erhaltet Ihr ebenfalls eine Benachrichtigung via E-Mail, dass Ihr vorerst auf der Warteliste seid. Sollte es zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt wieder verfügbare Plätze zum Teilnehmen geben, meldet sich das Organisationsteam mit einer E-Mail bei euch.
Gäste müssen keinen Eintritt bezahlen, jedoch müssen diese vorher (bei der Anmeldung) bekanntgegeben werden.
Bitte nicht vergessen, dass Ihr eure E-Mail Postfächer auf E-Mails von Organisationsteam überprüft, da wir noch die letzten wichtigen Infos ca. 1-2 Wochen vor dem Turnier ausschicken.

The total entrance fee for the competition will be €25,- per person.
The fee has to be paid on the spot, which means directly after your arrival in the venue at the registration desk of the competition.Your WCA registration/preregistration is finished when you receive an approved e-mail from the Organisation team.
If the competitor limit is reached, you will receive an e-mail from the orga team that you’re currently at the „Waiting list“. In case that we have an open spot for participating availible, the Organisation team will write you an e-mail.Guests don't have to pay an entrance fee, but they have to be registered. Please send the Organisation team the full name of your guest, if you bring someone!
Please don´t forget to check your e-mails 1-2 weeks before the competitions, because the Organisation team will send you some information about the competition.If you can't participate for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.

Informationen für Erstteilnehmer
- Falls dies deine erste Competition ist, an der du teilnimmst, ist es wichtig dass du dich mit den Regulations, also den offiziellen WCA-Regeln, bekannt machst. Zusätzlich empfehlen wir dir, dieses Video zum Ablauf einer Competition zu schauen: Competing Tutorial. Siehe dir ebenfalls dieses WCA Competition Tutorial l vor dem Turnier an.
- Wir werden an der Competition ein 'Judging Tutorial' abhalten, in welchem wir dir alle wichtigen Informationen nochmals praktisch aufzeigen.
- Erstteilnehmer müssen ein Identifikationsdokument mitnehmen um Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum zu bestätigen. Akzeptiert werden ID, Pass, Geburtsurkunden, Führerausweis etc. Kurz, alles was Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum bezeugt.
- Jedes Event wurde in zwei oder mehrere Gruppen eingeteilt, während die eine Gruppe teilnimmt, müssen die anderen Gruppen zum Judgen/Scrambeln zur Verfügung stehen. In einer Email, die wir euch kurz vor dem Turnier schicken, findet ihr die Info, in welche Gruppen ihr eingeteilt worden seid.
- Jeder Teilnehmer, der erfahren genug ist, muss beim Scramblen und Judgen aushelfen. Damit können wir für ein reibungsloses Turnier sorgen!
Informationen für alle Teilnehmer
- Bitte hilf zu judgen! Deine Einteilung als Judge ist als absolutes Minimum zu erfüllen. Weil zweite und dritte Runden keine Einteilungen von Judges haben, brauchen wir viele Teilnehmer die helfen zu judgen wann immer möglich. Wirst du persönlich aufgefordert zu judgen dann folge bitte diesen Anweisungen. Falls du nicht hilfst kann dies zu deiner Disqualifikation führen (siehe Regulation 1e2). Auch Eltern dürfen mit judgen aushelfen, es ist wirklich einfach!
- Bitte beachte dass Carbon-Fiber Puzzles nicht erlaubt sind und dass deine Würfel den Logo Regulations entsprechen.
- Wenn du am Teilnehmen bist und dein Puzzle abgegeben hast dann achte bitte darauf, im entsprechenden Wartebereich zu warten, damit Runners und Judges dich nicht suchen müssen.
- Sprich NIEMALS über Scrambles oder Lösungen während die Runde im Gang ist. Siehe dazu Regulation 2g3.
- Laufen Blind-Events bitten wir dich, ruhig zu sein, da jedes Geräusch die Konzentration der Teilnehmer stören kann. Wir werden ankündigen, ab wann Ruhe nötig ist und wenn man wieder sprechen darf.
- Fotografieren mit Blitz ist nicht erlaubt da es die Teilnehmer extrem stört.
- Wenn du zuschauen möchtest, beachte bitte den Mindestabstand von 1.5m den es laut Regulation 7b einzuhalten gilt. Wenn du einen Teilnehmer filmen möchtest beachte bitte dass du ausserhalb des Teilnehmerbereichs stehst.
- Bitte behandle die Venue mit Respekt. Entsorge deinen Müll fachgerecht oder nimm ihn nach Hause und halte deinen Platz sauber.
- An einer Competition gibt es immer tausende von Puzzles. Behalte deshalb deine Puzzles im Auge und lasse sie möglichst nicht herumliegen. Falls du doch ein Puzzle verlierst, kontaktiere uns via speedcubing.vienna@gmail.com.
- Für unsere Social Media Kanäle und unsere Website werden wir Videos und Fotos aufnehmen. Als Teilnehmer oder Gast dieser Competition akzeptierst du dass du für diese Zwecke gefilmt oder fotografiert werden könntest.

New Competitor Information
- If you are a new competitor, it is important that you are familiar with the Regulations. The regulations are very long and are quite a lot to take in so don't worry if you don't remember it all! Because of this, we have a video that explains the competing procedure which we recommend to watch before attending: Competing Tutorial. We will also be holding an introduction to competing as per the Schedule which we recommend you attend as well. You can also check WCA Competition Tutorial.
- New competitors must bring some form of ID to show at the competition to confirm the name, the country they wish to compete for, and the date of birth registered with. The usual items of ID that people bring are Passports, Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, etc. As long as it has your name, date of birth, and country, it will be fine.
- All events are divided in two or more groups, which means in one group you can participate, in the other groups you will have to be available for judging or scrambling. You will receive an email shortly before the competition with the information about your groupings. Every Competitor, who is experienced enough, has to help with scrambling and judging. This will ensure that the competition will run without any problems.
- If you have any questions, we recommend that you check the FAQ in case it has been asked before. But, you are more than welcome to contact us at the link on the General Info page.
Information for All Competitors
- Please help judging! As a competitor, your judging assignments are the absolute minimum you should be doing to help out. As second rounds, third rounds and finals have no assigned judges, we really need people to help out whenever available for these. If you are directly asked to judge, please go and judge for the remainder of the round in progress. If you do not comply then we are within our rights to disqualify you from the competition as per Regulation 1e2. If you're a parent you can also get involved with running and juging, it's really easy!
- Please note that Carbon-Fiber puzzles are not permitted, and please make sure your cube complies with logo regulations!
- When you are competing and have handed in your puzzle, please make sure to be waiting in the designated area so that judges and runners do not have to come searching for you.
- Please DO NOT talk about the scrambles or your solutions whilst the round is in progress as per Regulation 2g3.
- During blindfolded events, please stay silent within the venue. These events require a high amount of concentration and any noise can be distracting. We will announce when the silence will begin and when you may talk within the venue again.
- No flash photography under any circumstance within the venue. It is extremely distracting for competitors.
- If you are a spectator, please stay 1.5m away from competitors at all times as per Regulation 7b. If you are filming someone competing, please stay out of the competitor area.
- Please treat the venue with respect, put all of your rubbish in bins, black bin bags, or take it home with you and keep your area tidy.
- There are thousands of puzzles at these events, make sure to keep yours together so you don't lose them! Keeping them in a bag and looking after it at all times is recommended. If you do lose a puzzle, please contact us here: speedcubing.vienna@gmail.com.
- We will be taking videos and photographs of the competition and the environment for our social media pages and website. By attending the competition as a competitor or a guest, you are accepting that you may be filmed or photographed for these purposes.

- Bitte beachtet, dass in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in Wien eine Maskenpflicht gilt.
- Während des Turniers gibt es keine Maskenpflicht, aber man kann gerne eine tragen, wenn man sich damit wohler fühlt.
- Ein Teilnehmer darf an dem Turnier nicht teilnehmen, wenn er positiv auf COVID-19 getestet wurde.
- Bei Änderungen von den COVID-19 Regeln in Österreich werden Teilnehmer rechtzeitig per E-Mail informiert.

COVID-19 Information:
- Be aware that you have to wear a mask while traveling with public transportation in Vienna.
- During the competition it is not required to wear a mask, but feel free to do so if you are more comfortable with it.
- A Competitor must not attend this competition if he has tested positiv on COVID-19.
- Competitors will be informed via e-mail if there are any regulation changes regarding the COVID-19 restrictions in Austria.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
