If you register for the competition after all available slots are filled, your name will be placed in a queue. Once you’ve made the payment (or submitted proof of payment if credit card payment is not possible), your registration will be confirmed in the order of payment.

The registration fee can be paid using a credit card through Stripe on the registration page.

The registration process is as follows:
1. Log in with your WCA account. If you don't have one, please sign up here.
2. Register for the competition here.
3. After registered, you'll be able to see the button to pay the registration fee.
4. Your registration will be accepted within 24 hours after you have paid the fee and you will receive an email saying "Your registration for Welcome to Chiang Mai 2024 has been accepted". You can check the list of accepted competitors here.
If your registration is not accepted within 24 hours, please contact us.
5. After completing your registration, please check your email at least once a week for announcements and news about the competition.
6. If you have any issues with payment or want to cancel your registration, please tell us using the form in this link.
If you cancel your registration before Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 6:00 PM GMT+7, you will receive a 50% refund.

You must register + pay the registration fee in advance in order to complete your registration. No registrations without payments will be accepted.

Venue

This competition will take place at The Pantip Lifestyle Hub, 1st Floor, Activity Area.

Travel

Please note that public transport in Chiang Mai is limited.

Plane: The nearest airport to the venue is Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX). There are many daily flights from Bangkok, major cities in Thailand, and other destinations in Asia.

Train: Special Express Train No.9/10 operate daily between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. The train station is about 3 km away from the venue.

Bus: RTC Chiang Mai city buses run multiple routes from the airport every 30 mins. You can check here for the route maps and here for advance booking.

Taxi:
- You can request a ride on apps like Grab or Bolt in the city.
- If you travel to Chiang Mai by plane, you can use the Airport Taxi services. Fares should not exceed ~250 baht.
- Red car taxis are also available, but please be aware of the possibility of an overcharge or denial.

Car: If you travel by car, you can park at the venue. Parking fees are as follows:
First 2 hours: Free of charge with a stamp from the shopping centre
From hour 3 onwards: 20 baht/hour
If you plan to be at the competition all day, we recommend you park your vehicle at Sri Don Chai Temple (20 baht, limited spaces).

รถประจำทาง: รถประจำทาง RTC Chiang Mai มีเส้นทางหลายเส้นจากสนามบิน ออกรถทุก 30 นาที คุณสามารถดูแผนที่เส้นทางได้ที่ ลิงก์นี้ และจองตั๋วโดยสารล่วงหน้าได้ที่ ลิงก์นี้

แท็กซี่:
- คุณสามารถขอรถแท็กซี่ผ่านแอปพลิเคชันเช่น Grab หรือ Bolt ในบริเวณตัวเมืองได้

For first-timers, please bring any document that can identify your identity (e.g. ID card, driver's license, or passport) for check-in on the first day.

At the competition, events are organized into groups based on the number of participants. We’ll announce these groups one at a time. For the initial rounds, your assigned roles—scrambling and judging—are the minimum requirements. However, any extra assistance is always appreciated!

Be sure to note which groups you’ll be competing in before arriving at the competition.

Come back to this tab a few days before the competition for your groups.

Live results will be provided via WCA Live. It may take up to about 30 minutes between times being set and them appearing online.
