For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!
We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

So we have a video made specifically for new cubers, just to show them the basics of competing. This video will explain most of what any cuber competing for the first time will need to know.

FAQs
Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.
Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!
Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to https://live.worldcubeassociation.org to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.
Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.
Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.
Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

Travel
Note: Uber and Ola are not available in Alappuzha.
Nearest airport: Cochin International Airport (COK) - approx 73 kms from the venue.
(Auto rickshaws and buses are easily available for transport. You can also avail
the taxi service but that might be expensive.
Nearest Railway Station: Alappuzha Railway Station (APY) - approx 9 kms from the venue. ( auto rickshaw, Bus and taxi services are available)
If you are travelling through Bus, You can choose Alappuzha, Kommady or YMCA junction as the dropping point.
CAUTION:
The board in the buses will be written in the regional language. So you need to get help from a stranger, please reach us for further assistance related to competition.

There are several great food options available inside the venue. There are no hotels available available in walking distance, if you have any suggessions related to foods please inform the organizers
There is a strict policy, No outside food or drink is allowed into the venue!
Always try to keep food waste & bottles inside the waste box kept in the venue, thanks for the co-operation and understanding

Registration Process
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.
How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
Signing into their WCA account;
Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
Paying the registration fee of ₹600. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
The competitor limit for this competition is 130. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 130 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.
Competitors MUST register and pay online in order to compete. Spot registration won't be accepted.
Any requested changes to registration before 18th November will be honoured. Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.
How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through mcubes using the link given in the information page
Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and once done, you are ready to make payment.
Refunds
There's no refund available once the amount is paid. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.
Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once 130 competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before November 18, 2022 at 11:59 PM, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist.
How long does it takes the registration to get approve?
Ans: The process is intiated manyally by mcubes team, so maximum time frame will be 2 working days.
I have already paid the registration fee, but there's no responce?
Ans: There are several reason for registration to be delayed including incorrect information provided during registration. While making payment please ensure that both information including Competitor name should match with the payment information. This leads to delay in registration procedure.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
