Please note that the only qualification for 2x2, 3x3, Pyraminx, and Skewb is to have any average in the event.
Final Round Advancements: For all events with more than one round, we will be taking a minimum number of UK competitors to the final. If necessary, we will increase the size of the final by one competitor at a time until we have enough UK competitors. The requirements are as follows: 2x2, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 3x3 Blindfolded, 3x3 One-Handed, Clock, Megaminx, Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1: 6 UK competitors; 3x3: 8 UK competitors. 3x3 Multiple Blindfolded has a Top 16 qualification requirement, similarly this must contain at least 6 UK competitors.
Fewest Moves: FMC will not be held at this competition. To compete for the national champion title for FMC, you must compete at Rubik's UK Championship FMC 2024. The winner of the FMC competition will be awarded their prize during the awards at Rubik's UK Championship 2024.
Please Note: As this is the UK National Championship, only competitors who represent the United Kingdom will be eligible for prizes. The competition remains open for all nationalities to compete.

In addition to standard WCA Regulations, the following rules apply to unofficial events:
Face-Turning Octahedron: The regulations are identical to standard speedsolving events.
3x3x3 Team-Blind: The event is contested by teams of two. The team may communicate during and after the pre-inspection. The solver must wear the blindfold before the start of pre-inspection. The caller may touch the puzzle during the pre-inspection, but not during the solve. A blindfolded competitor starts the timer and solves the puzzle with the guidance of their non-blindfolded teammate. During the solve, the caller may not touch their teammate below elbow level. The competitors may alternate roles between attempts.
3x3x3 with Oven Mitts: Oven mitts will be provided by the organisers and must be worn before the start of pre-inspection.
3x3x3 Team-Relay: The event is contested by a group of two solvers using two cubes. The team may communicate during and after the pre-inspection. Both solvers should place one of their hands on the timer to start and finish the attempt. Solvers are required to swap cubes after each step of the solution.
CFOP: Cross / First Pair / Second Pair / Third Pair / Fourth Pair / OLL / PLL
Roux: Square / First Block / Second Square / Second Block / CMLL / EO / LR
ZZ: EO Line / First Pair / Second Pair / Third Pair / Fourth Pair / OLL / PLL
It is permitted to use advanced techniques to reduce the number of swaps (WV, VLS, ZBLL, etc.). If using a method other than CFOP, Roux, or ZZ, the team should employ a swap scheme that includes at least six swaps.
3x3x3 One Side: The puzzle is considered solved if any one of the puzzle’s six sides is solved.
2x2x2 One-Handed: The regulations are identical to 3x3x3 One-Handed Regulations.
The UK Cubing League has kindly agreed to organise unofficial events at a stall throughout this weekend. Here's what they have to say:
Hello! We are the UK Cubing League (UKCL), an interuniversity organisation dedicated to connecting cubing societies from across the country. Throughout the academic year, the UKCL hosts weekly competitions, where cubers from different universities compete and collaborate, making it a vibrant part of the UK cubing scene. In the 2023/24 season, we recorded an impressive 7,160 solves from 14 participating societies!
We’re excited to be hosting a stall at this competition, where you can participate in some fun unofficial events, meet our Executive Committee, and learn more about how you can get involved. If you’re interested in starting a cubing society at your university, we’ve prepared a comprehensive guide to help you through the process.
Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Discord to connect with existing societies and stay updated on the latest UKCL news and events. You can also explore the latest UKCL results and current records.
We look forward to seeing you at the Rubik's UK Championship 2024 - come and say hi at our stall!
