This is the FMC-Only competition of Rubik's UK Championship 2024
As FMC is not being held at Rubik's UK Championship 2024, this is your chance to become the UK's Fewest Moves Champion! The podiummers will be crowned during the awards ceremony the following week in Coventry*

The base registration fee for this competition is £10 (British Pound).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Please ensure you put the location you wish to compete at in your registration comment.
Each location has its own competitor limit, which is specified on the Location tab. If your chosen location is full, you will be added to the waiting list for that location, shown in the Waiting List tab. You may change your location up to the limit date for refunds (22nd October 2023 at 1900 UK time) by emailing us using the "Contact Organization Team" button on the General Info.
If you want to change your venue after your registration has been accepted you MUST email us. Do NOT edit your registration comment.
Make sure to register and pay for the competition to be accepted. We will not accept any registrations at the competition.
If you can no longer attend, let us know as soon as possible through the contact link on the General Info page. We often have waiting lists so letting us know you cannot attend allows us to add another person to the competition. By not telling us you are denying someone a chance to compete.

Hello! We are the UK Cube Association and we are a completely volunteer-ran organisation that hosts all cubing competitions in the UK. We are made up of a team of 8 delegates as well as 3 social media and graphic design staff, and we're passionate about giving people as many opportunities to compete in the UK as we can. We have organised over 100 competitions up and down the country with many more on the horizon and are always trying to find new locations to make cubing competitions as accessible as possible.

New Competitors
If you're a new competitor, we do not recommend this competition for you. This competition only has 3x3 Fewest Moves, where you are given an hour to write down a solution to a 3x3 scramble in as few moves as possible.
Information for All Competitors
- During the rounds, please stay silent within the venue. These events require a high amount of concentration and any noise can be distracting. We will announce when the silence will begin and when you may talk within the venue again.
- Please treat the venue with respect, put all of your rubbish in bins, black bin bags, or take it home with you and keep your area tidy.
- We may be taking videos and photographs of the competition and the environment for our social media pages and website. By attending the competition as a competitor or a guest, you are accepting that you may be filmed or photographed for these purposes.
- Some venues may allow guests, some may not. This will be communicated closer to the time, once we have an idea as to how busy each venue is going to be.

Bristol
The venue is the St Paul's Learning Centre, a multi-purpose community hub in the St Paul's area of Bristol. Enter via the Main Entrance. Glen's Kitchen is a small café in the venue that serves authentic Caribbean food (and sometimes delicious Mac and Cheese) on site. Train: The venue is a 29 minute walk from Temple Meads train station, with the number 1, 2, and 8 busses all taking you in the right sort of direction, though still with a ~15 minutes walk at the end. The venue is also a 15 minute walk from the less frequently served Montpelier Train Station.
Bus: The main Bristol Bus and Coach Station is a 15 minute walk away from the Learning Centre, and is serviced by many bus routs across the city.
Car: Parking in the immediate vicinity of the centre is limited to street parking (free on weekends), though there is the 2,500 space multi-storey Cabot Circus car-park a ten minute walk from the venue (£20 for 7+ hours). There are several Park and Ride options around the outskirts of the city, with most routes passing near the venue.
Cheltenham
The venue is St Mark's Church (C of E, not Methodist) in the Church Hall, at the bottom of the left driveway. More detailed information can be found on the FMC Cheltenham Autumn Travel Tab.

Train: The venue is only an 8 minute walk from Cheltenham Spa, which has frequent direct trains to Bristol Temple Meads, Birmingham New Street and London Paddington.
Bus: The 94, 99 and D buses all have stops very close to the venue.
Car: The postcode is GL51 7AL, on Church Road. There is no parking on site, but you may be able to find some free spots on the surrounding roads.
Glasgow
The venue is the Learning and Teaching building at the University of Strathclyde, 49 Richmond Street G1 1XU. Please enter via the revolving doors on Richmond Street (halfway up the hill, rather than at the top of the hill).

Train: The venue is a 15 minute walk away from Glasgow Central station and a few minutes away from Glasgow Queen Street station. The shuttle bus 398 offers free transport from Glasgow Central station to Buchanan Bus station or Queen Street station for anyone holding a valid rail ticket.
Bus: The Citylink 900 bus offers a direct service to Buchanan bus station from Edinburgh while the X99 connects Glasgow to Dumfries. Many local buses also stop at North Frederick bus station across the road from the venue.
Car: Parking is available at NCP George Street Car Park on Montrose Street, for which a discount is available by prebooking here using code L6PN4FX. Parking is also available at Duke Street Car Park for a flat rate of £5 a day.
London
The venue is a classroom in Mossbourne Community Academy. Please enter via the service gate, to the right of the main entrance on Downs Park Road.

Car: Driving is not recommended as the venue is in a relatively central part of London. There is no parking available on site.
Manchester

Bus: There's a bus stop right outside of the school service by route 42B and 42C from Picaddily Gardens.

Peterborough
The venue is the South Grove Community Centre on Grove Street. The main entrance faces onto Grove Street. We'll be using the side room, so after entering please enter the room on your left.

Train: The closest train station is Peterborough [PBO]. Its around a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi away.
Bus: Peterborough Bus Station is near the train station, so also around a 20 minute walk away. The venue is served by the Number 1 bus direct from the Bus Station. Use the Cherry Tree Bus stop on Oundle Road for the closest stop, a minute away from the main entrance.
Car: There is limited parking to the rear of the community centre, or alternatively lots of street parking around the venue.
Southampton
The competition will take place at Yarrow Heights School, Cobden Ave, Southampton SO18 1FS. The entrance to the school is on Cobden Avenue.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
