There is a competitor limit of 600 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is R450 (South African Rand).
If your registration is cancelled before Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 8:00 AM UTC you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 12:00 PM UTC.
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 8:00 AM UTC on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Please note that there are THREE steps you need to take to be entered into this competition:
1) The competitor must create a WCA account if they do not already have one (or their parent/guardian must create one for them).
2) The competitor must register for the competition using their WCA account, specifying which events they want to participate in.
3) The competitor must pay the entry fee by buying the appropriate ticket on Quicket.Please note the following:
* if you haven't both registered for the competition (Step 2) and paid for a ticket (Step 3), you will not be able to compete.
* if you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until Sunday, September 25 2022, 00:00 UTC by contacting the organization team.
* No on the spot registrations will be accepted.TICKETS AND PRICES
In order to compete, a competitor must pay the registration fees specified below by purchasing the appropriate ticket on Quicket. If there are no events a competitor is taking part in on the Friday, they may purchase only the "Main Events" pass.
Included in each competitor ticket are two free spectator passes for the weekend. Additional spectator passes can be purchased at the door or online, at the following prices:

The World Cube Association governs competitions for mechanical puzzles that are operated by twisting groups of pieces, commonly known as 'twisty puzzles'.
We are also grateful to the World Cube Association for allowing us to hold the first ever continental championship in Africa.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Guideline A1a2++).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
